Join IndoGenius as we learn about aspects of India’s legal professions and system including structure and functioning during pre-colonialism, British Rule and post-independence, issues of representation and access to legal services, India’s constitution, and landmark cases and legislation while meeting with judiciary and legal professionals, legal advocacy groups, citizens involved in past court cases and law students to discuss ways in which India’s diversity is reflected in the values inherent in legislation and court rulings and debate various visions for reforming India’s legal profession. Also, enjoy a range of cultural outings, performances and events that help contextualize your program learning.
