Funding Available

NCP eligible students have all their in-country costs and program fees covered. You will only need to pay for your international flights and visa.

When is the application deadline?

If you’re applying from Australia, get your applications in for our December tour is closing soon so please apply ASAP.

Who is eligible for the NCP Grant

You must be an Australian Citizen, eligible to receive academic credit and not already received an NCP Short Term Mobility Grant before.

When will I be notified about the outcome of my application?

We will get in touch with you once we have reviewed your application – this may take time if we need to conduct eligibility checks with your university. To speed up the eligibility verification stage please do check with your faculty whether you can receive credit for your participation.

What does the program fee cover?

If you receive the NCP Grant worth $3000 then you only need to pay the $500 program fee. The program fee covers almost everything you need in-country including:

Airport pick-up and drop-off

3 to 4-star accommodation on twin/triple sharing basis

All meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) including special events and packed lunches when required

All the water you can drink

Air conditioned transport

Pre-departure support

Orientation program

Welcome pack with fun and useful items

Maps of local neighbourhoods and emergency contact cards

Indian SIM card which work in unlocked and dual SIM phones

Participant welfare staff with the group 24/7

Team IndoGenius programme facilitation and coordination throughout

What is the New Colombo Plan?

The AUS$ 3500 program fee does not cover the following:

International Airfare to/from the program start and end locations (est. $2000 due to post pandemic prices). 

Indian visa ($80)

Traveler’s medical insurance, or medcal expenses including any vaccinations needed prior to the program

Food outside of that arranged by Team IndoGenius

Room service, laundry, and other charged to room expenses.

Grant Funding Available for Virtual and In Person Study Tours

A New Colombo Plan Funded Programme

The Reimagining India Virtual Study Tours are supported by grants from the Australian Government through the New Colombo Plan. The lead institution for Reimagining India Consortium is CQUniversity.

Students who have receive an NCP Short Term Mobility for our Virtual Study Tours can later on receive an NCP Grant to travel in person.

VIRTUAL STUDY TOURS Every Three Months

We have partnered with twenty one universities to offer credit for our four-week “Reimagining India”  Virtual Study Tour. This incredible opportunity will take you on a journey across time and space. You will interact with current and former employees of some of the world’s most interesting companies, startups and NGOs. Our domain expert sessions and interactive activities provide a superb opportunity for students around the world to engage with India.
